Responsibilities

What You’ll Do as a Hospice Chaplain:
  • Provide spiritual support to patients and families by assessing their needs and offering care aligned with their beliefs and practices.
  • Collaborate with the care team to develop comprehensive plans that meet spiritual needs.
  • Coordinate spiritual services, including working with community clergy or spiritual counselors.
  • Lead religious services for patients, families, and staff as requested.
  • Serve as a liaison between patients, families, and the faith community, offering guidance and support.

Skills & Qualifications

A few must-haves for our Hospice Chaplain:
  • Graduate of accredited seminary or school of theology (MDiv)
  • Have successfully completed four (4) units of Clinical Pastoral Education, CPE or equivalent theological degree
  • Experience working with death and dying, terminal individuals and their families or caregivers.
  • Hospice experience preferred
